Ive only ever fitted one gearbox and i thought it was fun :lol: Took us 45mins of me holding it over the engine and fiddling it into place making tiny adjustments.

Soon as you get the clonk feeling of the gear spindle slotting into place just aline some bolt holes and start whacking in the bolts.

it eventurally starts to pull itself true.

i can do a box in about 3 hrs , on the floor , give it ago its real easy , just get some one along to help and take the weight of things 8-)

you cant break a car just cause of a gearbox, give it a go, worse thing that can happen is you cant do it, someone must be able to come help you

it is easy , as long as u have some knolage , put the car in to 4th gear , take off the selecter rod from the gear box , remove the speedo cable and revurse sencer , drop off the ball joint on both lower arms , pull the sharfts out the box not forgeting to remove the rubber covers,
once you have them out remove the starter moter ( disconect the bat ) and undo the to lower bolts 1st ( under the box ) then take the back bolts off and then the front , your have to left at the top .. leave them

take off the 4 large 18mm bolts holding the gear box cradle to the car ( i would advise puttin a big jack under the engine , )one out have done that remove the to bolts from the top off the box ( it wont fall out the main sharft holds it in )

with the help off a freind pull the box towards the pass side of the car while wigling it up and down side to side , there is just anothe room to drop th box !

refitttin it is the removal but bakwords , just a bit harder gettin the main to line up!
