i've been playing loads of abandonware games at the moment, rocking x-com apocolypse atm 8-)



loads of old school games and they're all legal.

it now means i can play zelda while sat on the loo at work. :)

works a treat once configured.

only for java phones so new super nokia phones like the N95 and stuff need a symbian based emu :)

Decided for my nephews birthday to steal his xbox and add a chip + hard drive, I must say its great, I am considering doing it to my console now!

Since he is a child as well I have done some pimp my xbox!

The console is running XBMC with a 360 skin so it looks like the 360 blades, I can get more pictures of it running etc if interested.

Connect to xlink kai (sort of like xbox live)

and if you really want you can still boot it as normal.

I will say the xbox is setup for 4:3 and on a widscreen TV, I couldn't be bother changing it as he will be on a 4:3 screen.

Overall the functions it adds to the xbox is more than worth it. :)

Internally is just a PC El wire kit, it had pass thru molex connections so in the hard drive power line it goes and I mounted the small power invertor behind the dvd rom. From this I attached a plug for the EL wire, also see the 80mm fan fitted with some cutting away of bits.

While the lid is off remove the silver tray from it by bending upwards the griping points circled, one you have done this remove the metal tray. Now route the EL wire where you want it and bluetack it done (I would recommend starting behind the centre jewel), once you are happy with this remove the bluetack a section at a time and glue down (I used a hot glue gun). Make a small hole in the silver tray and feed the power cables back in and attach the opposite plug to the invertor.

It is worth noting that you can change the colour of the power button on the front to always green, orange or red. I think the same mod with red wire and so on would look good. If you want to be really clever you could change the leds in the power button and choose any colour you wish.

You can get replacement cases in many colours too which could be fun.

Anything upto N64 can emulated really, I picked the more obvious. The PS1 and N64 can take a bit of messing with but the mega drive and snes are great.

People have said I should start selling them, not a bad idea if anybody wants one.
