I dont think trying to get 60 in 2nd on an si box sounds safe to me... i remember mine was screaming to get that.. at least mine now has the ratio for it to be safe :rolleyes: :)

just sometimes to clear the cr*p in the engine or to get sumeone off my rear end :rolleyes:

Why not take it above 5000revs? my max power is at just over 6000 on the 1.8 8-)

I couldn't get 60 in 2nd in My 2.0l using the Si box, i could using the FRST box and about 65 with the Derv Box! :)

yea i think it red lines just after 6000, tho mine has a kick at 3500ish so dont need to redline it, tho i like when i did by accident once it started to lose power alittle after 6000.

Yea mine is at 6.5 k sorry. Took it to about that, can deffo get 60, Ive got a de-cat, ahsley ehxuast and modified airbox.

Sounds about right, but it doesnt matter what mods you have :lol:

It's the gear ratio's in the box and diff and the accuracy of the speedo, pretty sure mine did
60 or just under in 2nd.

Zetecs drop off in power quite a lot at high revs though, so it's probably quicker if you
change before you get to that speed.

In mine I found it was better to change at around 6000rpm or just before as it felt a lot
quicker at lower revs due to the torque.

i have just been out in mine after reading these post just to see wot mine does in 1st gear. well i can get 40 in 1st at abit just under 5k revs i reackon could get around 45 at higher revs i can get 60 in 2nd at a gud pull 65 round 6k revs.
