 an advantage of my mrs not being on this website!

(don't tap her up :look: )

the s2 1.9 cvh rotting on his drive is a shame rolling roaded at 184bhp and 212lb.ft torque at 11/12 psi!

£3400 on engine and turbo technics t3

shame

The mk1 escort once running should be about 300bhp with nos in a car that weighs bugger all, beast.

I just personally like my escort, and want to see a project out and leaving it standard looking will be good if i can pull off the engine!

New Update!

buying that mk5 rs2000 for £200 with a mate (sisters bf) (onslack or someone, can you remove the parts thread)

For my car:

Brakes
Suspension
Rear Axel with disc conversion
front speakers pods

Breaking the rest on ebay, mate was debating the engine in his mk3 but it looks like to much hassle

So thats the end of the month, rs2000 brakes all round, and the suspension

Will sell interior, engine+box+loom and other bits and get the shell "removed"

Put the "8 ball" dustcaps on today (i bought fast car as i was babysitting with kirsty and needed something to read!) i'm guessing in blackwater, they will be gone in a couple of days anyway!

I'm hoping when the si has 4 discs it will stop quite well, and the rs2000 suspension may be a bit better than my current stuff.

Not going to lob the engine in, going to stick to zetec 8-)

Also hope to make more than the £100 i am putting in back selling parts.

So by the end of the month my parts list will be

1: Wheel bearing (arrived today)
2: Puma Gearknob
3: Xenon Bulb Kit (100w fogs,sides,headlights)
4: Rs2000 Brakes on front
5: Rs2000 rear axel for rear
6: Mk5 Escort Handbrake cable for rear discs
7: Rs2000 Suspension
8: PCV Pipe (fitted soon i hope)
9: Driveshaft Oil Seal
10: MOT!

(collecting the rs2k on 29th march and breaking it in one day)

Still having picture transfer issues

But the RS2000 is fully stripped. 8-)

Rear Axle ready to be removed for my car
Front Brakes are off.
Maybe using the uprated driveshafts as they will be going for free (just got to swap the inner cv joints from my si driveshafts to the RS2000 shafts)

Also being given (in about a month) a state blue towing eye cover 8-) and 40mm springs to go on the rs2000 suspension so the si will be sitting lower!

Also, the Driveshaft oil seal has finally been replaced! It turned out to be half a litre down after 4000 miles of leaking!

Rear trims and parcel shelf are waiting to be fitted, (in and around me having to constantly wash my car  ) The shelf is in, just the trims awaiting fitment (then a clean as they are covered in mould from the "sieve" RS2000)

Also still waiting on a poss wheel refurb answer  lol,

And thanks to the RS2000 parts selling, i now have £113 out of the £350 needed for the Rear Panels to be done (rust removed from arches and spray panels) and the front wing "repaired" :)

3 days till the mot............ :look:

Should pass though! (heres hoping) Just been advised to make sure it is warmed up before i turn up as zetecs do not usually do well on emissions. (maybe rubbish, just an excuse for a drive :D )

Pics will be up soon, i just need to rope my sister in to borrowing her phone and transferring them to the pc! :(

I have a few to put up!

1: "cold air feed" modification
2: Grill "cut-out" feed
3: Debaged boot (except the ford badge)
4: Front brakes (need a clean up) (taking pics thursday)
5: Rear Axel (need a clean up) (ditto above)
6: Car minus mudflaps pics
7: Rust treatment under door seals
8: Front Speakers and Pods

(the removal of the mudflaps caused a piece of my rear bumper to snap off! :| so i now have an excuse to get a new one!)

Hope to tint the fogs and rear indicators soon also, once its all done, and the angel eyes are in, (plus the speicified bodywork) i will save for a 2.0 zetec engine and getting the front bumper and bonnet resprayed, a new rear bumper and sprayed, the boot treated and sprayed as there is a rust bubble appearing, the doors need touching up round the edges, and i have a few dents to deal with. Going to mop the car over soon, after the rear panels and wing are done, to see the general condition of the paintwork/bodywork. There is a stone chip on the roof that has turned rusty so will need to attend to that before to long! Would like tinted windows also!, nothing mad just a tint!

Its all a question of money. I want to finish this project.

I really would love a Fiesta RST, but as i have always wanted one, plus the fact i won't really have much money to fix it!, plus fuel prices in this country i may leave it as a would like car!

Apparently the 2.0ltr engines are better MPG when not thrashed to bits, so that could be a good upgrade ;) or just 130 spec your 1.8 engine and be abit revvy :)

Coming along well, will be nice to see some pics when done :)

Well as you have probs read in general, she passed the mot (CO Emissions 0.01!)

So pleased, but not so pleased, as the sills have started corroding (Advisory)

I should go ahead and get them done, just researching the price of it at the mo.

Also going to be refurbing the rs2000 rear axel, and painting it in hammerite black, getting braided hoses, and new rear pads. 8-)

The fronts will also get braided brake hoses, and a clean up

All a work in progress now, i have the following waiting to be fitted:

1: To rear shelf supports with sony speakers
2: Front sony speakers
3: Rear Shelf
4: Rs2000 front brakes (lines to be purchased)
5: Rear Axel to be fitted (refurb first)
6: Suspension of Rs2000 (waiting for 40mm springs and axel refurb)
7: RS2000 steering wheel (have to remove airbag light)
8: New wiperblades (front)

Bits to be ordered/collected/done:

1: Sills (fitting price research)
2: Braided brake lines (Front and rear)
3: New Rear Disc Pads
4: 40mm lowering springs
5: Towing Eye Cover
6: Angel Eyes (black)
7: Tint Foglights
8: Tint Rear Indicators
9: Replace Prehistoric Headunit ( )

So i have loads of things to do, just progress is slow! :homo:

I am hopefully using my sisters phone later as i have done the following

1: Tinted Foglights
2: Tinted Rear Indicators (got one wrong   so will have to be redone)
3: PCV Pipe fitted (my car idles better now :) )
4: New Shelf support and 3 sony speakers (the 4th one dont work!)
5: Bonnet Keyed  ( :x )
6: Rear Axel ready for refurb

:)

Now have £263 out of the £350 for the bodywork!

So next month will be bodywork month! (going to try and t-cut and mop the car over, see if the key mark comes out) Then as and when i have the money, front bumper needs respraying, (Hopefully not bonnet) rear bumper needs renewing and spraying, right front wing has a nick that needs sorting and i might get my spoiler bonded in as it holds water! Need a touch up stick for various spots to.

Starting to come along :chill:

9:28am update

Done a deal with a mate who owns a state blue 2.0 escort, but wants to standardize it for sale so i have arranged for: Towing Eye Cover, 40mm Springs, Centre and Rear S/S Exhaust (magnex i think) £100 (date to be arranged hopefully won't be to far away)

So hopefully in the next month i will have:

1: S/S Centre and Rear Exhaust
2: A towing eye cover 8-)
3: RS2000 shocks on 40mm springs
4: Rear Axel ready to be prepped for hammerite
5: New Rear Disc pads and maybe braided lines
6: Bodywork (well rear panels, arches treated, front wing) done
7: Re tinted dodgy tint on lights
8: RS2000 Front brakes ready for fitting

And hopefullly some bl**dy pics before long!

Well, it is on the cold side of the engine bay. So we made a large hole as it would not heatsoak.

It sounds the tits, might get an additonal feed up to it :)

Its in a diff position to a FSI airbox :)

After visiting central rs day (good day!) my need for a older ford has resurfaced.

I'm not giving up on the si though, but i am scaling down the project and save up for a r.s.t cabriolet or a fiesta r.s.t

So the following has been dropped:

1: Angel Eyes
2: Tinted Windows
3: Major Engine plans i had in pipeline

However, i am still going ahead with the following as i will be saving for a good year or 2!

1: RS2000 calipers and grooved discs from fiesta fletch (payment on the way this week mate)
2: Rear Axel with disc conversion and new pads on discs.
3: Rs2000 suspension and 40mm springs
4: £350 bodywork plans
5: Sort the keyed bonnet
6: New tow eye cover
7: S/S Centre and Rear exhaust
8: Re-tint rear indicators
9: Resecure the rear speaker

When the discs arrive i will put pics up and try and sort other things to (like 1 screw in a speaker pod!)

:)
