The sills are on the way out.

My sisters boyfriend rob mot'd it and it wern't a dodgy pass but he did say the sills are on the way, and will probably be a fail next mot. The only other advisory was the chipped windscreen

Should i carry on with the car? any idea on how much i can get sills fitted for? :( I need to work out if its worth doing the £350 bodywork plus the extra for the sills.......

or do you know someone who can weld?

a mate of mine did my sills and arches all in with a fresh lick of paint for £400, which i didn't think was too bad 8-) then again i'm not sure what a garage would of charged :?

i don't know i like the colour of my shell though :homo:

On beevers auto panel sills are £14 each plus vat. Just need someone to fit them....

as a guess a garage would do it for £300 all in?
but it will vary between 200-400 really

Last year I got an advisory, so treated any really rough bits, put filler in a small hole, sprayed with 3 coats of hammerite, then fitted RS accessory skirts, job done. This year no advisory!! :) :)

Yeah, i have been thinking all day :lol:

The bodywork is £350 so the wing and arches will be good. (other parts to go in also)
Sills £30-40 (beevers car panels)
Work £not sure (will ask around)

but when i add the Sony speakers, new shelf supports, shelf, rear axel with disc brakes, rs2000 suspension on 40mm lowering springs, braided brake line plans, and the other ideas, another month of saving for the sills, shouldn't be much hassle, and with new sills, (they should last a few years without worry!) the car should be looking good and tidy, and lets face it i'm never going to make all the money back!

And after breaking to fords in a week ( :( ) i don't fancy sending another one to the scrappy!
