Myyyyyyyy god, the ultimate GTR! Z-Tune! Only 20 EVER made, bored to 2.8l, produces about 600hp, 9000rpm redline and looks the nuts.

They're not just normal Skylines with more power, loads of work went into them and are essentially handbuilt from the chassis! The bodywork is designed with the same functional components used in Nismo's GT500 racing cars, such as engine bay vents on the hood and fenders, as well as wider fenders for wider wheels. The Z-tune is also improved with an aggressive suspension setup from ohlins/sachs, and a specially designed Brembo brake setup.

Engineers reinforced and stiffened the chassis seam welding in key areas such as the door seams and door frames and added carbon fiber to the strut towers and transmission tunnel and the engine bay, completely redesigning the suspension, drivetrain, engine, gearbox and other components so as to work at maximum efficiency and reliability as is expected of a road-going vehicle.

So a little more than your average (!) GTR! :D

I was reading about this! I can't wait for them to be released so I can hear the feedback.

I would say they should of had an extra couple or thousand rpm for more fun, but A. what do I know, and B. I don't think it can get more fun power wise in a road car! :D

I think you have the wrong end of the stick Ry! :lol: This isn't the R35 GTR V-Spec that was announced recently. It's an R34 Z-Tune, made in 2003 by Nismo. Only 20 ever made. They had to find 20 low mileage (less than 20k) R34's which were immaculate as Nissan had stopped making them in 2002, then stripped and pretty much rebuilt them.

They're old now, but rare as golden rocking horse sh!t covered in diamonds!

Ok I've just read up on that and all I have to say about the car itself is nrgnrgunilnewrnwow <-.

If only the world were different and Japan was right next to us instead of bloody France. The Japanese are so eloquent with their styling, detailed and fussy with their engines and design etc etc. They just seem to be the anoraks of producing certain cars that just really excite you!

They should move Honda and Nissan over here and ship off all the overpiced crap like Aston Martin and Jaguar.

Anyway back on topic, amazing car! :bow:

I remember reading up allot on this back in the days when I had the time to keep up-to-date with new releases :rolleyes:

They organised a special give away day like Honda did with the special last run of the NSX Type-R......only Honda were albe to use their F1 team for a day of antics......Not up on Jap motorsport, assume they organised a mass drift session :lol: 8-)
