Well it survived.

Here is a quick picture when I got back, the car is filthy

No real problems, after about 50 laps apart from I've killed one or some of the bushes on the left rear, it was making a very metalic clonking on the way home!! Also its been leaking a bit of gearbox oil where it meets the engine, (possibly a driveshaft seal)

I highly recommend a track day, this was my first and I think I'm hooked, you end up racing yourself most of the day!!

Also good to meet Will (will121), good to see the difference between my 1.6 and his 2.0 si.

Will post some more pics when i download them.

Right the next track day at Snetterton is on 8th May 2008, who is up for it? The web says its sessioned (6x20minutes), however the one I just went on was an open pit lane.

Hope to book the car in to fix the gearbox oil leak and rear arb bushes, it currently has no MOT, (just ran out) and the tax is also out in a couple of days, once fixed and back on the road I'll be booking up.

Anybody else fancy it?

The day costs £119, then helmet hire is £10 on top and thats it. You get a driver briefing and a "lap walk through" so you can see how to take the corners. Also some of the organisers are about during the day so you can ask questions, they are also mechanically minded in case you have any problems!!

You can also pay for driver tuition to get the most out of your laps and thats £25.

Oh, also don't forget fuel!! My car used just over half a tank of super unleaded for about 50 laps.

Will be good if we can get a couple of Si's there, Snetterton is a fairly basic circuit and good for beginners :)
