what are the best speaker brands for nice sound quality, i'm after clarity and volume as opposed to melt your brain bass.

reason is i have a nakamichi headunit on the way, and i want serious speakers to match it.

my old jl audio stuff had a brilliant sound if that helps at all.

go halfrauds and see what they have on offer in used/showroom stock for sale :)

thanks guys. i hate the halfords wall of noise! with all the buttons that dont work and speakers with holes and dents in them :rolleyes: and i have to find a headunit that matches the nakamichi to get the best judge of the speakers.

i been thinking phoenix gold, jl, bose(if i can bloody find them) or rainbow audio

From what i've read, General opinion of BOSE is that they're overated. Never experienced them though.

I've some high end Pioneers which i love. Or have you considered Focal?
