As most of you have probably read in the ebay forum ive collected a new si for the time being. I appreciate i should have left it but i expect you all know what its like when you've had a 2 hour drive to get a car when you've been without one for a month and its there and you have the money etc etc But anyway, ill get some proper pics of the whole car after its gotten a clean but heres some i took earlier.

not bad mate just needs some good TLC if its solid it can't be that bad , i saw the car about a year ago when i bought a bonnet from delforty i can't remeber if the door was like that then tho

Im going to drive it until something nicer comes up. I know the fixes are all cosmetic but the problem is ive never touched a welder and dont have any friendly sprayers. So the cost of making it pretty again is much bigger than buying one in a nice condition. It does have MOT till September and 6 months tax and it shouldnt need much work come september. Really im looking at selling this in the next couple of weeks as something nicer has come up. So if anybody is after a cheap project just drop me a pm.

New door and bonnet, possibly £50 if in right colour, TommyG is selling his interior for £25, so under 100 so far, dunno what elso it may need though.

Looks like i might be keeping this after all. Been ragging it around and its made me feel better I figure its solid underneath and im only going to learn from rebuilding it

Plans are slagging it as much as i can for a road car.

I found its got a KN panel filter with cold air feed, ive stripped the rear out and put my rear brace back in. Lowering springs from WGS will be going on tomorrow along with the exhaust. wooo.

Im on the lookout for 15s, Passenger door, Bonnet, cheap bucket seats, new locks and a roll cage

try looking in some scrappies for normal fezzy bonnet and passenger door, may be cheaper but will most likely need respraying


does that bit under the rear light seperate from the rear quarter?

thats a lot of filler looks like it might separate, cant really look until i can get the boot open I wont be declaring anything i can rip out if needed but its not like im running a 2.0 or anything.

just looked at that pic and seems it may seperate from the rear quarter and the bit on the rear quarter should bash out....doubt it will be too much from a panel beaters.....dunno what you'd do about those "smoothed" rear arches though

See I wonder this, do you have to declare stripped out interior. Im sure Ive read somewhere you dont have to declare mods inside the car, but Im skeptical. As that would mean you dont have to declare a rollcage... But whats the score with things like harnesses, and recaro seats, as I havnt declared this.
