Went to pick it up this evening, but no pics till tomorrow as phone was dead.

But we lifted it off the trailor with the matbro to see the underside of the car, and for a K reg MK3 with 90thousand on the clock I have been suprised!!

Drivers side sill is the only thing that might need fixing
Has slight surface rust on rear arch lips, and near fuel filler cap, but only surface rust from being sat in my mates field for 8 months.
Front and rear valances are spotless, no holes.. although the front one is a little bent..

So just need to gather a few bits.. Escort TD exhaust manifold, Fiesta Deisel gearbox/flywheel/clutch and then we can make a start on fitting the engine into the car

Would prefer a xr2i kit with bumpers already in white to save the hassle of spraying anything, but I'm not fussed right now

Went to my mates today and got suprised by them saying the guy who owns the red rotton xr2i said we can strip it for bits and give him a few notes for the bits, so I went at it and stripped it for everything.

All there is left is the engine and loom.

So I got the XR2i bumpers, skirts, arches, blue stripes, old school steering wheel, and old school tape holder for the dash

Car is going to be resprayed eventually once the engine is in place and running

Finished stripping rotten as hell xr2i today of all its useful bits




So anyway, started on the wiring loom so I can use electric windows, central locking, heated front screen and xr2i fogs/spot in the front bumper

Lets say, what a bloody ballache!
Everything I wanted it all linked into the main loom somehow!
Loom to the doors is linking into the radio wiring because of the speaker wires go into the doors, and the loom for the lights went all over the place lol

Ive managed to get rid of most the useless loom that I dont want, and have pinpointed the wires in the fusebox. Now all I need to do is cut every wire I dont want so its out of the way

If I start pulling wires out of the fusebox for everything I will forget where they were meant to go, its gonna be hard enough wiring it into the 1.1 as it is... but we shall see. May just end up making my own loom up for everything!
