Rev limiter will cut in about 8400rpm but you could extend this if you wanted to closer to 9000rpm.
Cams and remap will see about 165bhp.
B16C5 cams will see you at around 170bhp.
B16C5 head + cams and you should be nestling around 180bhp.

Bored of that? Then slap in a B18 and laugh to 8600 all day long and 200 NA BHP.

The handling is awesome, parts are reasonable in comparison to most things its age. UKDM model would set you back £2000 for a good one. JDM SiR model with LSD and 160bhp as standard (amongst other things) would cost £2500-3000.

Nothing like 'tec y0.

been looking at the s1 rallyes,
xr2's i do love but hard to get a good one cheap ish these days.
got someone comin on sat to loook at rx7 so hopfly that will go with anyluck.

Sure at the outset £2000 on a car is more expensive but I spent a fortune keeping my Fiestas on the road in comparison with my Peugeot. Spend a little more on the car to get a good one and you'll reap the rewards when it comes to actually running it!

You said earlier your RS was a previous write off so you don't count!

My past Fiesta I had for 2 years, didnt cost me a fortune, must be luck of the draw

The mk4 1.4 zetec that i had was bullet proof for 15/20k of rape! Nothing went wrong with it ever.

Faster than the 1.6 Si's and fuel was anywhere between 36/45mpg

Get one of those :)
