what would you guys check first when you realise you have no coolant (have had to top it up alot lately too)
checked the head gasket but im not too clued up when it comes to this sort of thing

just had a look now
after literally having the car on for about 3-5mins there was a biig puddle appearing near the alternator dripping off from the plastic cover for the aux belts.....
couldn't spot anything for above so im making a guess at the water pump?
i have also noticed my car is 'screeching' when turning off, is it water on the fan belt or something like that?

blue arrow = puddle of water
red = where the water was dripping from

blue = path of water

i didn't jack my car up and couldn't get any better pics as it tis abit low to get my head under

im guessing warter pump if its comming from there....... have you checked all the warter pipes because all the pipes from the warter tank run above there

yeah they all seem ok,
owwww this is going to be expensive...good excuse to do the cambelt at the same time though mind :lol:

It does look like the water pump though if you're sure you've checked all the hoses properly

not really m8 u can get the water pump for bout 15 quid and cambelt kit for bout 20 quid and then get someone u know to fit them or if u can do it urself do it urself

agreed with phil looks as if the bearings in the water pump are shot

i wouldn't keep running it with a leak that bad because u might do the head gasker or worse stil cook the head

Well, stick a new one on the 2.0 if you are going to put one in,
