will it make alot of diffience with a 2.0ltr engine in. What type of other cars will it beat or stay with.

Does any 1 know what the top speed and the 0-60 times would be with a 2ltr conversion

Top speed all depends on you gearbox, with the 1.6 Si one in you wont see more than 125 max, but the acceleration would be better, therefore improving your 0-60 times.

Personally, I'd rather have quicker acceleration than higher top speed. How often do you really go 130 mph and over? Whereas if you wanna show a VTS who's boss, you'll be doing that oh so much more often.

0-60 around 8 seconds, given choice of mods

it shud beat a vtr anyways as a 1.6 they aint that fast. wot wud the 2litre be like again a redtop corsa??

fitting the 2.0 into my si is the best thing i have done and i havnt regretted it one bit, its a huge difference compared to the 1.6! i havnt played with that many car's in mine but it kept up pretty well with a corsa vxr and also a starlet gt turbo which is a friends :) (track ofcorse:P) it will show up alot of standerd road cars up includeing some of the bigger engine'd mercs, bmws, and saabs and it will suprise alot of people due to it being a fiesta ;)

fuel consumption isnt any different to the 1.6 may even be a lil bit better as you dont have to work it was hard going up hills, can drop down to 20mph in 5th and it will pull in 5th at 20mph back up to speed with no problems!

so i say do it

agreed, having witnessed a redtop corsa anilihate most challengers, sorry guys, but a 2.0 si wouldn't stand much chance, as the corsa has 150+bhp standard with a red top in

my mate has a redtop in his nova and he beats porche's ok given he has done a bit to it but its all down to power to weight, and who said we'd never need maths

back on topic, how much would a full 2.0 conversion cost? right down to the last detail.

it can cost anything from £200 - £600+, just depends on what parts you use and what you replace and how much you do yourself

i'll see if i can dig out the prices etc for stuff that we bought for becks' conversion

a low mileage 2.0 can be had for around +-£250 from findandengine.co.uk

all the parts i got were from burton power so not the cheapest! so you can get things cheaper elsewhere!
