This is my engine bay. Halfords black VHT paint on the rocker and heat shield with a coat of lacquer on top. You need the lacquer as halfords VHT paint has a matte finish!

When I used Ash Black the paint bubbled and peeled off from the heat. So far the VHT paint has been fine!

Turns out it dosen't look too bad, wish I'd spent abit more time preppin it now! Ah well...
