hello to all the forum again after so long lol.

ok i have had a look in the online Hayes manual and i have forund some referance to the problem but not clearly.

on my fuel feed pipe and the return pipe there is a white clip and a red clip to goin each pipe to the fuel rail. i would like to know wich is the feed and wich is the return,

correct me if im wrong but i would say that the red is the feed and white is return.

this is a quick picture to show you all what im up to at the moment.
iv just got to buy 2 fuel pressure regulators to lower the rate of fuel. Image

you could trace the pipe back to the filter as it will be filtered before it goes near the injectors...thus that is your supply...or you could get a pot on each one..and momentarily turn the ignion on and see which one it comes out of!

why 2 pressure regs dude...once you have reduced it going in..its not going to build pressure to go back to the tank..the only reduction needs to be on flow side of things not the return

well i was talking on the phone to this guy from this company
http://www.fuelsystem.co.uk/regulators.htm and he told me that it would be harder to do the conversion with just one regulator.
i think motorcycle carbs need to run at about 1 bar of pressure. he told me that i needed to buy parts FPR009 and then part FPR008b to get the pressures correct. i think the fuel runs at about 2.1bar with an injection setup. it will all get sorted soon.

carbs need around 3-4psi, injection fuel pump is around 3bar. you normally need 2 fuel regs to drop it low enough for carbs.

good luck getting it running, my mates put some mikuni carbs on his civic and hes pulling his hair out.

also what are you doing for ignition?

iv seen them working on my brothers 1.8 scourt engine.
im sorry your friend is haveing problems with his. flatslide carbs are much better to use im not sure why they just are.
im not haveing to much of an issue with the ignition. i just need to get the fuel correct and im sure it will fire up with some mild perswasion with a bit of easy start :) it should sound beastrous with them on.

so your still getting spark?
if you are its not really going to advance properly as its not getting maf, tps, or proper lambda readings, and be running in limp mode at 10 btdc.

For the proper setup you need either megajolt, msd box, or get a dizzy fitted. If you dont its not really going to run right and get much extra power and may even be slower than the standard injection.

Not here to piss on your chips mate just letting you, so your not tearing your hair out ;)
