My 306 is playing up...but not sure what is wrong

If i put my foot down in 1st gear to about 3k rpm, there is a slight grinding feeling and i lose power..

And if im idleing i hear a faint rattle unless i rev to about 1.5k

any help..

could be your cat

or your clutch

check/clean all your sensors and reset your ecu and then go from there.

could be the cat or baffles with the rattle. mainly the exhaust/lambda is the first port of call.

i thought clutch because of the grinding feeling...but it stopped rattling with a bit of reving..

failing that ill take it to my local garage, and see what he says

i have a rattle when i start the car up, change gears or go over bumpy roads. i can only hear it with the windows down though.

douns sound like a loose heat shield on yours ry..

paris? (i think it is anyway) lol yours sounds like either a sensor issue, or an exhaust blockage

best way to check that out is put your hand over the end of the exhaust, there should be emough gas passing through to push its way past your hand (might take a few seconds to build up the preassure)

but if it doesnt its more than likely an exhaust blockage
