~Update~

well there isn't much to report back on really


i have recently fitted a standard Si exhaust and it sounds great, silly get a bit of popping and it still sounds meaty

i will upload a pic tonight


had some running issues with my car recently, well since day one really, the car was stuck in a diagnostics machine last night and it picked up that something was up with my EGR which is right as i removed it and it picked up that my car is running lean at the lambda sensor

so tonight i have a friend coming over to check my cam timing and then hopefully get the car back on the diagnostic machine

been looking at runabouts as well

more on that laster on tho

i shall get some pic's of the progress tonight

glad to hear it will b running well soon looking forward to the pics

yeah i have been told that as well moe, i have replaced the maf 3 times now

i think i need more spare maf's, my Si goes through maf's like matt went through gearboxes

decided to keep her off the road a little longer and order my new inlet gaskets at the same time

i am getting mine from burton power as ford have stopped making the sandwhich plate gasket

maybe they need cleaning terry? i guess you will have tried this..

i cant believe how much better my car runs since des cleaned mine when mouse was doing my starter

(god i sound lazy)

though it does use more fuel now...

all the maf's i have, have been cleaned

i did what you said was done to yours

i will see what difference these inlet gaskets make and then go from there

just found out they are out of stocl as well, so god knows when my car will be backk on the road

bodged 2.0 throttle body:-





as you can see its had a hole punched in it for the iscv, thats why mine would run, but when we did becks car and used the same gasket accidently it refused to idle

i had to enlarge the hole until i can get a proper paper gasket

when i first fitted it it looked wierd , as i have been use to a $2 beast hanging out the back, but now i have got use to it, i like it

my top end gaskets arrived yesterday so i collected them today



here is a list of what was ordered for becks' conversion from burton power

Top end gasket :- FZ730K = £45.99
Bottom end gasket:- FZ740K = £27.50

Tentioner pulley:- FZ160 = £25
Cam belt:- FZ225HP = £24.95
Water pump:- QCP2889 = £28.95

in bold is what i bought and it came super quick too, considering it said they were out of stock
