Righty...lets clear a few things up here...

if you put rear discs on a car with std front brakes 240mm ones....you are really asking for trouble in my opinon...the escort setup was 260 front 270 rear...but to the best of my knowlege it was made an option on later cars...think cost had somethin to do with it...

using a mk6 master cylinder is a wise move as the internal cylinder is larger and means it can move more fluid needed for the rear discs....however this needs modification to fit and welding properly....not a job for anyone whos welding looks like pidgeon poo...

i did NOT fit a bias valve...my car didnt have ABS as std...all i did was use the escort pressure reducing valves...using
the mk6 cylinder also means the pipe union threads are the same so it screws together without heinous looking thread adapters

the car was not tail happy i honestly hand on heart did not have any problems with it..being perfectly honest....rear discs coupled with the escort cos front brakes were more than overkill... but i did find it made it less nosedive happy....course it was still doing most of the braking on the front....it just felt more balanced and less aggressive but stoped a bit better..if that makes sense
i know of another car running the same setup as mine....and he hasnt had problems either

fords were not technically bias valves....as the front percentage of braking was always maximum...load apportioning valve i beleive they called it...or load sensing...it should have some form of adjustment.... however i can see the problem of using rear discs on a car with no form of pressure reduction/load sensing

im only speaking as i have found..not being a safey sheep and following the.."dont do that it makes it tail happy"
.i dont claim to be an expert or anything close.

but i am open to criticism from anyone who has done the conversion and has found otherwise....

rear disc conversion wiv cossie brakes wud tcause the back wheels to lock up thats y theres is drums on to stop this i fink cossie front conversion plenty for al ittle cars its not a granada orsieraa cossei so y put a rear disc conversion on a smalelr car when cossie braskes are twice the power
