also i can stick in 1st at like 70mph, isnt ther a mesh that stops this?

if worst comes to worst im going to either replace the gearbox so does it have to be from an si or can i use a standrard fez/xr2i one? what other options do i have.

or if im feeling brave i might go for a engine conversion again what options do i have? rs1800? mondy? (black or silver top and which year do i want to be looking for?)
