HELP!!!
My next car is definately going to be either a Glanza or Starlet but i cant decide which.

Glanza:
I love that Glanza - especially in white!!!

I think I prefer the Starlet in all honesty. Don't get me wrong, the Glanza is nice, but it's just a bit too soft at the front for my liking.

What are the running costs like on an import-only turbocharged hot hatch?  I'd love one but I think the costs would be a bit scary.

Starlets aren't too bad on the old petroleum! But would be alot worse than your current motor Scott! Mine can be scary 
The repairs aren't too bad as it never goes to a garage. I know a bloke who owns a Pulsar and he does all the work on the car for a fraction of the price a garage would charge. So if you can find someone like that for a specific import, then you're sorted. But he also works on other cars. He actually works on this lads Glanza aswell!
There's more parts for sale on the Pulsar forum than there is on these Fiesta forums aswell, so never short of a part really. They're not quite as bad as you'd imagine though, they really aren't.
Which do you prefer Scott? Starlet or Glanza? |

going on looks alone i really like the rear of the starlet, but i think the front end lets it down. Then again maybe its just the morretts? is there much in it performance wise? |

I'd have either really as it's the performance that attracts me. Maybe the Glanza has the edge. I suppose it depends what bits go wrong with it. Sensors, coils, plugs, items specific to the marque etc, maybe even pads/discs? Some stuff you can't really get from a forum and dealers are more often than not a pain to deal with. This is a major factor I was worried about with an Integra. OK the UK dealer should be able to get your bits but what time scale? As for Juice I fear some diesels would struggle beating the Clio on fuel sometimes
Whats the scope for basic tuning like? Eg, re-map would push the power to perhaps 160bhp with a boost tweek? |

The Glanza is more feminine. I would of bought a Starlet if it wasn't for Fi telling me that she wouldn't get into such an ugly car. Well ok there were many other reasons but meh, I'm happier that i've got the 6 instead. Some rough stats here to compare it with. http://www.letstorquebhp.com/fwd.asp I'd go for a Starlet. |

starlet.. in white myatts was great.. got better mpg than my Si and beats the poo out of any saxo etc
glanzas are becoming alot more common too.. you wouldent want to eb common now eh sam

ok.. around here there uber common... see about a 3:1 ratio of glanza's to starlets
and scott.. i meant any chavved up boy racer type saxo that doesnt have the faintest clue what a glanza/starlet is

my mates got a galanza and at 18 with no ncb and hasnt been driving a year he pays £1000 insurance in a rough area....which is cheap ....running cost are minimal comapred to cars alike....he cudent insure clios and that alike so with the spare cash he got a bigger turbo/actuator front mount intercooler few other mods not too pricey hes seeing bout 180-190 bhp |
