I have got myself a new car! Not quite what you were expecting eh? Well, I wouldn't believe whats written in the title either tbh.. It's actually a clio 172, in black. 74000miles 2003 cam belt and aux belt done recently Clutch done @ 72k (can't find a receipt though, hmm) Going in for a service and a check out at Ren-Tech in Portsmouth Friday, this car is not being bodged/cheaped/any other variation. Kinda learnt from the ZS if I want hassle, spend less ![]() From my VERY limited knowledge I have a really horrible feeling the dephaser pulley is going to need doing its not massively noisy I don't have anything to compare it to though, this is a big job as you have to do the aux and cam belt again ![]() Needs new tyres by the looks of it, possibly new rear discs, get the service light turned off and get some wiring for drivers seat airbag to get the airbag light off. Its got a couple of key marks, there very light though I actually think a detailer might be able to get them out so i'll give that a go next year sometime, but right now, not bothered tbh. Has a longlife exhaust which isn't loud at all which is awesome! Induction roar is louder which is cool. Also rear tinted windows. All in all, 70 mile drive home and i'm quite impressed, interior is actually a really nice place to be and I enjoyed the drive! I need to put my stereo in in the morning though as having no music makes me really sketch out at every little noise in the car! I am a worry wart. Will give it an awesome wash in the morning ![]() |

Yeah, If it does behave and I have the oppertunity i'll buy a set of Turini's. or i'll paint these graphite grey or something to hide them a bit. depends how long I keep it really, with the scratches if I end up fixing them properly with any sort of respray, it'll be staying a while longer than planned to get my money's worth lol |

so come on then - performance compared to fez ![]() some are tempremental - i would check the fuel hose going on to the fuel rail as that can pop off for peace of mind! |

Well its hella better ![]() ![]() I'll let the guys at Ren-tech look over it hopefully they'll spot any problems, dads seen the thing at the back right (ECU?) cable tied in, which is obviously wrong ![]() |

very nice chris. i like the wheels, especially a dark grey of some sort would be nice. exhaust doesnt look too bad and the ride height seems fair too ![]() |

Yeah fuel hoses like to pop off on clios for some reason. Cable tied in ECU? This thing is already half bodged for you! ![]() |
