Phase 1 wheels have centre caps
Phase two have no centre caps

The phase 1 is silver top
Phase 2 black top

There are more but I dunno if there right, as some are on both so could just be optional extras

what about the year are there particular years for the phase 2 and 1 as ibe found a nice low milage zetec s just down the road

Yeah black top is phase 2.

Not really but kinda 00-01 phase 1 phase 2 01-02 but not always. You can find phase 2s on 00 plates.

im not too bothered about engine milage or the phase the low miles is more about the shell condition as i want an engine conversion anyways im more after the black interior thats the only thing im bothered about lol

Ah I see. Yeah the phase 1 has the grey dash and the 2 has a black dash. Its not something I notice when I get in my car.. I don't think "oh my stereo surround is black and the dash is grey"

I thought both had zetec se sigma engines? The shonky one I owned had one for sure. When you say silver top are you meaning a zetec e like the si? I thought the only engine differences were a stronger crank in the phase 2 models? I am bound to be wrong.

Other than that its slight differences in wheels (phase 1 ftw) darker dash and cloth and the tiny difference of more settings printed on the heater dial direction thingy. 5 as opposed to 3.
