me dads has failed its MOT for high emission, he said if they cant fix it he'll have to scrap it! WTF! whats the likely cause of high emission? its a 1.25? |

When was it last serviced? Bad plugs/leads/coil can cause high emissions. But as Scott said, could be the cat or lambda sensor, or another sensor. My Pulsar failed miserably on the emissions, so I done the plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm and put the cat back on, and it was the lowest it's ever been, almost non-existant ![]() Don't let him scrap it because of that! ![]() |

just an update the garage fixed it, apparently my dad used the wrong oil, oil then got in the cat and the cat needed replaced. £150 all-in, MOT, new oil, cat and reg plate |
