Yeah, good fun mate, much more rev happy than the 1.9 version I have,
but obviously not as fast.
The 1.6's don't come with rear disks though and apparantly have some minor suspension
difference's up front but many people prefer them to the 1.9's.
Get on the forums mate, but I would snap it up if I were you.

only mod i know of is a group n exhaust. anything to look for?

Look out for rust, the boot floor normally goes, drive shaft gaitors and
engine mounts tend to go too. Generally what goes on older cars,
recent cambelt etc.

Yeah unreal, had the back out at silly speeds in mine, half the time
on accident, you really do have to pay full attention, especially in
the wet, its a great car to control though, it just feels really basic
when your driving it and it just feels as though there is hardly any
weight transfer to worry about, which is the difference between that
and the 306 I think.

If you want it tip top you'll probably have to renew a lot of the suspension as it will be sloppy by now if not replaced, but you'll have an ace time with one! retro cool, and a lot faster than people think!!!

Just don't crash it and drive like a granny in this weather

insurance: i dont bloody understand it. but its 1.7k fc, which although a lot of you will is cheaper than my 1.1. i drive like a granny anyway only thing it needs are tyres (as it has westfield semi-slicks atm) but matey has 1.9 wheels with proxes, for an extra £100.

As imagined it should be quite old now, so could have a lot more problems, but overall if its all in good condition go for it.

should see him tonite, will find out cambelt history etc. and its white been looking around, i spoke to some guy about it and he said 'you should be a bit more responsible to the enviroment mate, bet your gonna drive at the redline all the way' so not wishing to argue i stayed quiet, untill he drove off. in a bug eye scoob

Cam belts on them are about an hours job. So if it hasn't, I wouldn't worry. The 205 is supposed to be insanely easy to work on.

ok guys after a long talk with my dad, he said that i will still need to pay off my insurance on the 1.1, and insure thhe 205. didnt think about that. is it possible to put the 205 on the 1.1 insurance, instead of the 1.1? hope that makes sense

Yea should be able to no problems. Just give your insurance company a call and they will be able to change the car on the policy
