im looking at buying one next instead of an Si, ive sold my car and was going to buy another one with a 2.0, but ive been a bit put off by the sale and im thinking on a honda. what do people generally think? and does anyone know if the 1.6i ls is vtec? |

They generally state if they are vtec or not in the name, unless its a type r (usually) so i'd take a wild stab as saying it's a none vtec version. it's normally the vti or vtec's that I see around. I'd guess the interior is horrid in them, most early/mid 90's honda's are nasty. im not a fan. if you buy one just have a good look around the shell for rust and as long as the engine and box are fine, you should have a fairly cheap motoring experience. |

ah well i was looking for nice sporty car, not a cheap motoring experience, so i dont know. im looking for a step up from a fsi but not that much higher on insurance. looking aorund piston heads i have found a sunny gti, civic vti (the one i really want but there insurance group 14), a 106 xsi, and a few R5 gtt's. really like the looks oof the R5, but does anyone know what thre like to live with? |

My mate had a R5T and it was seriously quick, as for the honda they are reliable as long as they are looked after. |

Ahh bless, Sunny GTi. I was thinking of getting one as my runabout Surprisingly nice to drive, softer than the R, and not that many about. Although, without the R kit, Sunny's look amazingly dull! Luckily for me though I've got spare skirts and other bits and bobs to jazz it up a bit if I ever did get one.The problem with Civic's is that the only ones I ever see are driven by, a certain group of people, who have quite literally ruined the car for me. The older ones that is. |

Don't go dissin' the Ek9!  sure it's brothers and sisters are ugly, but coommeee on it is a lot nicer in white with the red recaro's etc  or maybe i've just changed my nationality.

think im going to get a Eg civic esi hatch. sohc vtec engine, look good and loads of tunning parts out there at rock bottom prices (ie 4 brach manifold and full exhaust system in stainless for £167!!!). i will be getting another si at some point tho, probs next year sometime when im with the army and i can save money. |
