Cheers guys, yeah the colour is abit brighter than the standared Audi paint. I just looked for the brightest silver they had! I was going to do them a dark grey like my splitter but then didn't think it would suit the style of wheel and I'm planning on selling these when I get a new set so they should sell better being silver.

Well I've had a temperature issue for about 3 months now. At first ky temp gauge was going upti 90 and then dropping to 50 then 70 and so on, so I changed my temp sensor and it fixed the problem, a week later my temp wouldn't rise above 70, I though bollox thermostat has gone, I left it like this as the thermostat is a timing belt off job. Anyway over the past week I had another issue creep up, my car was having throttle problems, if I just blipped the throttle the car would accelerate for about a second by its self, I was massily down on power (couldn't even get past a 1.1 106) lol my torque was all over the place and it was just generally shit to drive. I was fearing something bad was wrong. Anyway luckily my engine management light came on yesterday, plugged my diagnositics into the car and there it was, coolant temp sensor fault. Went to Audi, bought a new one, fitted it in 2 mins and bam all my issues were sorted. Had all my power back, fuel consumption is back to normal, temp gauge is reading 90, car drives like a dream and has great torque again. I'm a happy bunny haha

at least it was a cheap quick fix!

Easy not sure if it was cheap haha wel it was cheaper than most things that could have been wrong but Audi being Audi charged £40 for the sensor but £40 well spent!

well i meant cheaper then if a head gasket or gone - or timing belt had to come off

Exactly. I seriously want a straight through exhaust on this. V6 TDIs sound awesome with them, makes them sound like an RS4. Thing I may attempt to hollow out the dpf first, unlock some more power

The symptoms of mine were, temp gauge not reading properly, uneven power band(hardly any power up till 3k rpm), car accelerating by itself after letting off the throttle, very poor stating in cold temps after being left over night followed by clouds of smoke! Idle at just over 1k. Engine genurally not running smooth.

hello, just a quick update. Been wanting to change my rear lights to the later b7 cabriolet lights for ages but they very rarely come up on eBay at a good price and if they do I always get outbid at the last min. This came up at £30 buy it now, so I grabbed it. Just need to wait for a driver's side one, I don't mind paying more for the second one as I got this one so cheap. Trial fitted it to see how it looks and to work out how I'm going to wiring them in. Here's some pics

The light is an LED style so it give the look of an LED bulb, modernised the rear and matches the modern Audi design of lights. The main tail light is like a 3d bit inside the light, looks really smart, ill get a close up shot later

Cheers mate! I can't wait to get the o/s one so I can get them fitted. Breakers are charging silly money for them, £140 just for the one!!! Audi only charge £87 for them new lol. If I can't find another ill buy the o/s from Audi.
