i knocked the 335d on the head when i see the compromise in MPG, the 330D is more balanced, the extra poke from the 335D isnt worth the MPG loss, the 330D is quick enough as it is. Either manual or auto with F1 paddle shifters

Was doing some calculating based on Shell Diesel V-Power being £1.45 per Liter and the cars MPG combined statistics

335D will see 515 Miles per tank (17.5p per mile based on £90 to fill)
330D will see 603 miles per tank (14.9p per mile based on £90 to fill)

MY Leon will see 632 miles per tank (12.6p per mile based on £80 to fill)

just picked up a standard turbo tnight to keep the car going for now, took a slow drive to pick it up and averaged 57.2 MPG, mainly doing 60-70 on the motorway

Pics of the recon unit. its done 15,000 miles and had a recent inspection last week from BTN Turbo and was said to be in good working condition

BMW Idea is on hold. I really do like them but not in a position or prepared to go into debit for it, for sure though it will be something i look at when moving on from the Leon. Plans for the leon for now are, fit the recon turbo, uprated clutch, fit the brembo brakes and a stage 1 map should see me good for 190+BHP, ill hold back on spending silly money on turbo upgrades, injectors etc until i decide what iam doing. Ive also bought a braided oil line feed from Darkside Devleopments, just got to wait for that to arrive before i can fit

looks like you have spent a fortune on this!!

ive been looking for a new car recently and come across one of these in silver locally. 58k fsh 1 owner with the full cupra bodykit and wheels on it. its really smart. ive always liked them.

ive driven the golf gt tdi 150bhp and it went really well i thought,

and these look the nuts, quick, cheap insurance and tax and good on fuel!

whats it like to drive? performance? what would it compare to?

i would want mine mapped but pretty sure you need to uprate clutch for that too?

how does it handle? thats one thing i would miss i think, i couldnt really see these being anywhere near as good as the ignis.

i really love vags i miss my arosa sport. they are so well built and refined. and the PD engines are soo good.

shame to hear about your problems. but im sure once you have the turbo map and clutch it will be an animal.

Fitted new recon Garrett GT1749VB Turbo along with a Darkside Developments Braided oil feed line. No more police siren sounds or bad over boosting :D This was just a fix to keep the car going until i decide when the time and moneys right for more power.
