Take a tape measure to the wheel arches, I bet the rear one is lower to the floor than the front, thats why it looks like its higher on the front end.

Yeah looks like it, if the dephaser is on the way out then its kinda a good thing in a way as when you get the alt changed, the belt has to come off, which means your at the dephaser pulley anyway, its all an expensive job no matter what. rather get it all done at once if its all failing.

Good little drive though, soaking out there and it still grips really well
