You might as well keep this for some problem free driving, rather than buy a ragged to death zs which will probably cost you more money than buying a house :)

point is if this breaks it's a massive cost. whereas as a zs is cheap as chips. as long as I get one with history and everything it'll be fine.

rather that than some of the bills for a Clio. it's just not a feasible option really. it might be reliable at the mo but I don't know for how long lol

haha yeah.

I've got a couple months of savings and will make a couple hundred selling the Clio.

it's things like rear discs it needs £100.. whereas a Zs is much cheaper and no rear discs lol q

Discs are that expensive, if you look after the clio then it will be fine, zs is disaster waitibg to happen unless you buy an untouched one with low miles to which it will cost a chunk.

there cheap now. I cant look after through clio like it'll need. what happens in 2-3 years when it needs belts again? I'm screwed lol everything is more expensive and I don't know enough about them for when it goes wrong.there are already niggles with the car that I wouldn't be able to afford in future.

I'd buy a 1.25 but I'd wanna shoot myself in the face and running/fixing costs aren't going to be Mich different.

you all act like these French cars are suddenly the best :P most of the stuff that went wrong with the zs was through playing around with it.

every cost will be cheaper so it makes sense to me. I can handle a few cheap repairs as oppose to a possible big one lol

Surely every car has a possible big cost?

In defence of the french, they take abuse very well so the odds on anything popping aren't very high.

I haven't looked up the costs on the Clio but new discs and pads all round on the C2 wasn't all that expensive and have you have felt the braking is immense!

it's upto chris what he does -

if he wants to return to the blue oval :P let him in peace

clio sports do have a list of common faults as long as my arm mind - even though they are good *french* - but it's chris's choice.

I personally think if he does get a zs there is no way he will leave it alone :lolz:

zs second hand parts and normal parts are soooooo much cheaper than a Clioa new engines £100 whereas Clio is £400+ and I wouldn't know where to start. belts Clio - £650 zs £200
like I say just theare discs are £100 with wheel bearings. all around as a student would wipe me out. my zs fronts cost me about £40 and I've got some pads in my house lol they are just so much cheaper, insurance wise as well.

and yeah common problem wise thers a long list and I have one or two already lol

will be hard to leave alone but because I'll be skint it'll be easy lol

plus i've always wanted an imp blue :-) not bored but mot excited by the Clio really. only the power really but I don't use it for anything and won't have money for track time I doubt.

Didn't you think of these things before buying?

Just looked it up and you can run the clio on bosch super 4s which can be had for less than £15....

yes I wasn't bothered before because I didn't have a uni prospect.

you can put Bosch 4s in but it'll run wank. ufortunately these engines want for the best due to hoe strained they are.

Fiar enough I am still seeing the standards for £40 and the service interval is 72k, an extra £25-£30 every 72k isn't exactly going to send you under.

it's also about charges as well. the zs is a lot easier to fix and I know how to do most of it. even with changing spark plugs on the Clio u out have to take off the inlet lol

generally will be a lot cheaper. ever penny will count lol gotta remember it's not just plugs it's everything that could go wrong. it could add up whereas a zs will add up but not to as much.

Yet again, you are going off what might be and not what is.

By all means its ultimately your choice.

Just get a C2 VTS, as long as the inlet doesn't fall off you are good to go! :lolz:

yeah. but as with any car anything could go at anytime. I feel more confident with the upkeeping of a fiesta. can't decide whether to wait it out until July put another year's ticket on it or do it early next year so it's got 6-7 months on it. have to see how it goes really.

couldnt affords a c2and I'm sure it'd be fine but I wouldn't be happy with one :p you know what I'm like with cars gotta look good to me etc. the Clio was only ever a stop gap anyway.
