4k max spend limit

Can get a pretty decent car for 4k

With a £4k limit and for what you want, I'd look at a 5 Series BMW. E39 shape probably.

If you've just got the one, anything should suffice as long as it has a large boot and has a good safety rating.

if you want a ford thats big then it has to be a mondeo estate or focus estate all fall under the 4k mark or get a volvo as there are loads of estates around.

Whatever you do. Don't get an E36 BMW... they are terrible for safety, your fiesta was like a tank in comparison. I think it got a 1 star N-CAP.

E36 BMW's are alot safer than a Fiesta IMO.

Although I wouldnt get one if you had 4k to spend.

Get a VAG diesel engined car, Passat, A4 TDI, Boost y0. Reliability. Cheap the run

well thanks for the info would go for performance for fun while im on my own lol

but my mates just sorted me a astra 1.4 2000 reg for free needs a new engine and bootlid but its a bigger car and a five door which is enough for now i would have probably gone for a 3 series estate oh well gives me a chance to save abit of cash to get a decent family car maybe an impreza estate when im 25 lol

i like the st170, some high milage ones around the 160k mark are oin for £3000 so i wouldnt mind knowing what condition they are in and how the actual car takes its miles as the newer generation cars cope with them better. Good ones go for around £5000 and in imperial blue
