im turning 21 on 5th of november and my mum said to me as a presant i can have a new car she didnt say how much but she said a fair amount so ive come up with some cars and would like to know peoples opions

evo 4-7 (wanted a evo for ages)
scooby type r/ra (like the type r as its only 3 door and a mate has a ra with 400bhp and i love it)
honda s2000 ( do like hondas nice and low and s2000s can be made to look nice)
honda ep3 trpe r (not to keen as alot have them)

im not fussed on amount of seats as ive always had 2 seats since ive been driving

most probly wont be standard when i buy it as it saves me money

want a quick standardish looking car witch will be more comftable than the si and better on mpg (before anyone says anything all the above will be twice if not more better on fuel than then si)

if you can afford the running costs, tiny bit more cost on servicing, insurance etc (basically if money isn't an issue) then Evo 6 for me. Otherwise S2k, with the EP3 a close third (basically more practical)

Evo of you want to avoid the cliche scooby
s2000 I've heard aren't great.. That's from a Honda mechanic but if you want something that is different and stands out fromthe crowd then that's one to go for, or a prelude would be the same sort of thing.

Evo 6 TME. All very different cars though. TBH I'd go and drive them rather than asking other people. Running costs will be crippling on Impreza/Evo and parts won't be cheap on the Hondas. Insurance at 21 will be tasty on the imports

Scooby all the way, although i am being biased as my dads had 3 ever since i can remember, one was even a company car lol.

hes got a Type Ra at the moment and fook me, it goes like a bat out of hell. top speed only about 110 but omg does it get there quick!!!

i even went to my prom in it lol

handling on the s2k will be a bit lairy to say the least, i have driven amgs, m3s, many rear wheel drive cars and the s2k once you get to a certain point just bites back, i know you will say 'yeah but im not gonna rape it/im a pretty good driver' and i have 2 mates, one who does time attack events, that have both lost them whilst driving sensibley.

for me, evo 6 is the way forward here, but have you considered a 'teg type r? handling is good, economical (against the current list) and a sound to die for.

wouldnt say them 2 as dont get a car like that to take slow it will get some thrashing on sunday nights
