Did a few hours on this the other weekend. A 51 plate Toyota Ceilica
There were quite a few surface defects in the way of sratches and swirls ( unfortunatly quite had to picture but i did my best )
Usual wash, clay came off quite clean except for on the boot lid where it was quite bad.
The car was given a once over with the rotary with sonus SFX2 on a SFX1 pad. to start the correction on the defects but unfortunatly this didnt touch the scratches..... So out came the sand paper. 2500 grit to be exact, ( this is the 50/50 shots i have done ) and then polished up with the same pad and polish combo as before.
I have not used this pad and polish combo before and was please that it gave a nice deep wet look, made the paint work alot brighter and was LSP ready.
After this i ran over the car by hand with a glaze ( megs #7 )
Then came the EX sealant by poorboys, which i left on for alittle over 30minutes.
Vics concourse Yellow was the wax of choice.
Plastics were done with poorboys trim restorer, damn good stuff
glass was done ( inside and out ) with a sercet recepie ( sp? ) of mine
