Near me too. Not sure I have seen it around though, but there are a couple of mk2's with 2.0 and they are pretty quick lol |

Quad throttle bodies FTW... (Pulsar already has this setup) I just don't see the appeal of mk1 and mk2 Fiesta's though. It's the same with Mini's. Not a fan. |

I think if you get one that looks right it can be a stunning little car, but one like above - looks shite, but someone could make it look nice. All depends on personal taste though I guess! |

yeah, wheels dont suit it and i dont like the arches or skirts. whats the difference/gains between throttle bodies and bike carbs? |

Bodies are more fuel efficient and eco friendly plus easier to tune. Also you can bascially slap them on and keep the ECU and sensors. Carbs require you to adjust fueling and the way the fuel is delivered, they are harder to tune because you have to change all the jets to get more power ect - money and time wasted.. Both are good, but bodies are easier and better in long term ![]() |

I want a bodies setup alongside my turbo setup but it just isn't cost effective for me and benefits just aren't there now I'm not N/A (throttle response being a big gain) but this thread reminds me that I do want to do some crazy like supercharge my turbo'd vtec lump. |

Supercharger and turbo and vtec... good little combo that! How many people have gone down that route before with tegs? |

Not many as it still doesn't yeild beneficial gains unless there's a lot of R&D/tuning with the setup, it's more something to do to stand out from the crowd than anything else. Wouldn't mind a few mag features when it's all done! |

bodies are very loud though arent they? i know this sounds stupid but i thought with turbo and supercharger it was either or and you couldnt have both? |

Yeah it generally is, but at least you can brag to all the saxo boys in halfords at night that you have a turbo and a supercharger and your car produces 1 million horsepower - because they will never know thats not true ![]() |

haaha shout danny. sounds epic. in terms of money, how much would we be talking here? what sort of engine would have to be sourced to begin the build? obviously everything would need uprating etc but i could win the lottery one day ![]() |

Money wise - depends how cheap you get the parts and that, anything between £1,000 and £10,000, maybe more. All depends how in depth and that you want to go of course. You could do a turbo and supercharged zetec build if you wanted. Superchargers have been fitted to them before, I researched it all at one point, to get a decent kit its about £2000-2500 I think, might be wrong though. So add a £1,000 basic turbo conversion on that and you are already at £3500, then all the fabrication work and all the other bits and bobs, uprating parts ect ect, you'll soon be pushing £5,000. But as I said, depends on many things, you might be able to do it for £1000 all in if you did everything on the cheap and what not. |

yeah but surely doing it cheap = problems? its a lot of money but if you spread it over a length of time im sure it would be worth it! |

Remember you'll need some really high lift cams because 2.0 ones are essentially high lift. If you want more power, focus on the air in/out and fuelling. Decent inlet and exhaust system will do wonders for power. Mark on ft made something like 143 bhp with his fiesta, all he has is a focus 2.0 inlet and a 4-1 manifold and cat back system ![]() |
