Just looking for some potential track weapons for me for next year. Undecided if the Teg will be tracked or whether to go and buy a car and sort it out on the cheap, and 2.0 FSi's are actually very good bang per buck with performance amongst other cars that can be had for under the 1k bracket but cost a bomb to maintain... :gheeyyy: It's either these or something french :insanity:

And something only just over the £100 mark with no reserve I think!

On the other hand, something like this may be worth a punt (warning - 205!)


All the cheap RWD stuff is slow (bmw) or expensive (for a track car) if it goes wrong (200sx)

Thoughts? Admin in owning FSi shocker?

So far, from various places, mk2 Fiesta 2.0, 2.0 FSi, 205 (1.6 or 1.9 or mi16/gti-6 engine) and eunos roadster have all sounded like a worthy punt! :D

Will - how does your Fiesta fare on track against various other cars, and more importantly, how much fun is it to drive - any annoyances with it etc?

ry there was a mk3 rs1800 with a 2.0 zetec, tb's, cams and megasquirt at the pf track day on monday, it was on gaz/leda coilover and was running about 200bhp!

it was flying and giving a few cars a run for thier money!! :chill:

Noooo! Don't use the eunos for a track project.. they are rare as fook!
Just use any mx-5 and get a hardtop if you were going to

And besides the difference in the eunos and standard mx-5's is just luxury items, not performance :)
