That looks mint, very chea to run, only thing is you need to have your bike registered as a scooter and checked by VOSA then taxed and indured if you was to use it on public roads. Alot of faffing around but would work out loads cheaper than buying a new scooter. |

I'd just keep it quiet lol Apparently something like, if your bike is classed as a scooter - like in china where they have mopeds with pedals. You need the licences and that But if you have a 'motor driven bicycle' you don't, because in theory you will be using the pedals more.... i wouldn't lol I dunno what country that's for though. But knowing our government, if there is any way of getting money out of the law abiding citizen, they will get it. |

Seen some electric scooters cheap enough and there is no tax to pay on them and they cost next to nothing to run. |

But aren't they like £1k? That's why i don't like electric ones, because the batterys are extremely expensive, only do about 40 miles per charge and take like 8 hours to charge them lol |

Just read the smallprint at the bottom of the page: Disclaimer: The buyer of this item takes all responsibility for his/her own actions when riding any bike fitted with an engine, we will not be held responsible for any injury caused by riding the bicycle or the engine itself. This mountain bike engine is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18 years, the buyer takes ALL responsabilities when purchasing the item. Customers in the UK will require the bicycle to be registered as a scooter if the buyer wishes to ride the bicycle on a public highway, you will also need to have the bike inspected by VOSA and have it taxed and insured if used on a public highway. Private use when not on a public highway is acceptable and does not require the above VOSA checks and registration. So on a normal scooter it's £15 tax and £55 regristration fees. I don't know how much inspecton is... But doesn't that mean you will have to have a numberplate lmao! On a cycle haha Either way it's alot cheaper than a moped - Just try and stay off the road, use the woods to get places ![]() |
