Hi guys, The time has come to sell the Fiesta. I haven't used it in ages and the neighbors are complaining that it has been sat around for months so I have made the decision to sell my 2 Litre Si. Well actually it is my girlfriends and was standard when she got it (passed her test in it!). Then I got hold of it!! Bad bits first I guess! 1, It has been sat for about 6 months since the MOT ran out but it was prepped for the MOT before I took it off the road with every intension of continuing to drive it but never bothered. The only thing that needed doing was some welding underneath, and I got the whole thing undersealed while he was at it so it will be solid for a while yet. 2, No MOT or Tax but depending on interest and my get up and go I am happy to MOT it as it should go through but no point doing it just to leave it there! 3, Little bit of rust coming through on the bottom corner of drivers door. 4, Drivers side arch on its way out and will need looking at. 5, Bit of an outward dent in the bonnet where the induction kit rubs. 6, Rear brake shoes really need changing. I might do that though as it only takes a couple of hours. 7, I haven't quite got round to registering it as a 2 litre yet. Good bits (as much as I can think of anyway!) It is a 1995 on a "N" plate and has covered around 95k from what I can remember. It started as a 1.6 so has the nice wingback seats etc. It is 5 door (I haven't seen any other 5 door 2 litres around anywhere). It is in dark aubergine and in all round tidy condition. The interior is pretty much mint. Could do with a new set of mats but thats it really. It has a Kenwood headunit with i-pod connector in the glovebox. Front and rear alpine speakers in standard places and a 600W Alpine sub in the boot. Modifications I will do it in sections so I can try to cover everything but i'm sure I will miss something! Engine and Running Gear The engine is a silver top from a mondeo I bought as a whole car from ebay. It had been well looked after mechanically but had been bashed around a fair bit. The engine came out and we did the cam belt, water pump and gave it a good clean up. A brand new clutch was put in when we put it in the fiesta. Standard 1.6 gearbox, it tops out at around 120mph but gets there pretty quick! Engine and gearbox are spot on. I also modified the 2 litre throttle body to accept the 1.6 linkage and added a large air intake so it breathes nicely. It has a nice stainless back box but the main exhaust and manifolds are standard. It doesn't sound to lairy with this setup. It has covered about 8k miles with this setup and has not missed a beat the whole time other than the clutch cable snapping. This seems to happen every now and again so I always carry a spare one and a big screwdriver under the boot carpet so I can swap it out on the side of the road when it goes. Its an Si thing I think! Handling and Braking I have recently replaced the top mounts as they were getting a bit on the floppy side including bearings etc. Wheel bearings have also been done. It is lowered 30mm on gmax shocks and springs. The lower arms went twice since i lowered it so I replaced them with some poly-bushed camber adjustable ones. Not going to wear out now! It has the 2 litre brake calipers that were refurbed and have drilled and grooved disks. It has phase 2 mk5 zetec s wheels. These look great but were a nightmare as I assumed the offset would be the same (for future reference it is not!). I had to get some extended studs and spacers and now fit great. Exterior I think the outside looks great but thats my opinion! It has standard bumpers but I have complemented them with painted mirrors, mk5 zetec s side skirts, a mondeo estate rear spoiler and the wheels. Security It has a scorpion alarm with remote locking and a total closure module (shuts the windows if you leave them open) There is one modification I made that I don't think anyone (but I stand to be corrected im sure) has done. I built a Tom Tom sat nav powered from the ignition into one of the centre air vents. The screen is the perfect size! It is made from an old windows phone with GPS that I chopped up and built in. No sound but other than that it is brilliant! I have a load of spares I will include including a rocker cover, a set of tsw rims, some more top mounts, original intake, a mondeo master brake cylinder and some more bits. I have spent a fortune on this car over the time we have had it and I am clearly never going to see it back. I need it gone asap so I am open to offers. I would really like to clear £1000 and I don't know if that is realistic or not to be honest? I live in Billingshurst, West Sussex and you are obviously welcome to come and have a look. It is a bit sorry at the moment as it has been sat for ages but I will try to clean it up at the weekend. That is all I can think of at the moment and thanks for reading all of this!! Tip buddy, get the pics up asap I would expect a 2.0 Si to be taxed and MOTed to make that sum of money Mine had brand new spanking alloys and was txed and tested for 6 months and 9 months and body in good nick for £900 and that is about the benchmark Just togive you an idea

I will try to get some pics up at the weekend. As far as T&T, I want to see if anyone is interested first otherwise I will MOT it just for it to sit not used for ages! |
