Hi there, Some of you might know I bought a K Reg XR2i 1.8 Zetec-E around 5 Years ago. It was the base for a project I started but due to having to relocate back down south as my parents got divorced and sold the house...I had no more time or money to put towards it.
Got a new car now and Sold my other Mk3 Fezzer recently,Decided I'd rather sell the shell on and see if someone else will rebuild her, Would make a pretty good base for a track car for someone that's for sure. The car is currently at an address in Bicker, Boston in Lincolnshire and will 100% need to be trailered away.
CONDITION OF THE CAR... Well the paintwork is dull but believe me when I say this,Damn does she polish up well. When I put her away she was gleaming and that was over 4 years ago now. Rust... Not as much as you would of thought, There's small holes of rust on the Sills where the rivets for the sideskirts went through, The Sill seam has a few surface patches of rust but nothing major. The back end has a few small holes on one side and the Near Side Rear Quarter has a couple of rust holes that I found. There's NOTHING around the fuel filler cap which is a very bad area for rust and There's small surface areas of rust under the front wheel arches but nothing on the wings at all. All areas of rust under the wheel arches were rubbed back and treated before putting her away.
WHAT'S ON THE CAR AS IT STANDS... Well as you can see the interior is all intact, The only parts of the interior touched is the Loom from the engine bay,It's laid on the drivers footwell *I just disconnected everything and popped it into the car for safe keeping* The interior is MINT and to this day still smells great, I used to just sit in the car and take in the fresh *almost* new car smell, Most older Fords smell a little musky / mouldy but this one smells amazing lol
Shes not got any fuel lines, Some of her brake lines are missing and it has no exhaust,Radiator etc. The engine ran 100% ok when I decided to park it up and start stripping it down,Gearbox is still fitted and never crunched or popped out of gear etc. The driveshafts are rebuilt items but never fitted again. There's 2 x good condition bonnets stored on the roof along with spare underlay and spare interior carpet both in very good condition. Car's currently on standard 1.1 Fiesta suspension, Has no front brakes and has a non power steering rack fitted as opposed to the PAS it was meant to have.
Here's the pics and then I'll sort out a list of what parts come with the car later,...Looking for £150 for EVERYTHING.
