well.. as some of you lot know... my uncle races... this weekend i went to brands hatch for a one off non championship event.. heres how it went i left telford at 12:50am and arrived at brands for 4:30am (pretty good by all accounts!) had a couple hours kip before uncle arrived.. then the day began only 10 cars showed up! (pretty poor for a brscc ford saloon turnout) 5 of which were escort cossys!!!! *drool* also there was a 2.0l fiesta si, mk1 escort 2.0l cossy powered (non turbo), mk2 xr2 (seemed standard) and an xr3i, god knows what that had in it.. but it wasnt really that quick ![]() anywhos, we all instantly thought that the 5 cossys would just blitz us.. and we were unsure what the rest would be like.. mike qualified 6th overall with one cossy behind and the mk1 escort infront the mk1 must have had problems as he packed up early and left.. leaving us 5th already on the grid.. race time comes.. and its a rolling start.. the top 3 cossys zoom off into the distance stupidly fast.. *drool* but mikes still with one of them and has left the other for dust... a couple of laps in and the xr3i spins on paddock hill bend, into the gravel, saftey car out and regroups them all up for another start.. same happends again.. but a few laps in mike takes the one cossy thats ahead of him (apart from the top3) and so hes now in fourth and a couplt of laps after that one of the top 3 retires to the pits, leaving mike (unkowingly 3rd) amazing result which none of us expected!!! wicked day.. worth the 4 houirs of sleep ![]() anyways im not putting all 80+ up but ill put a few up and give you a link to look at them all link: http://www.mwracing.co.uk/Images/brands22-10-06 |
