Just made a new sig so I thought id share,
from this image:
Basically I cropped the picture
resized it to 400 px width
duplicated the layer
increased brightness and contrast
increased saturation
applied "artistic glow"
sharpened (should have done earlier on tbh)
sharpened the bottom layer (the duplicate)
set top layer to about 50-60% transparency to tone down the soft glow
Created new transparency as a top layer
made a 2 px thick white border
made a 1 px thick black border over the top
set blend mode to grain merge (i.e instead of being white, its makes the image underneath lighter)
created a new transparency for the text layer
Chose my font and inserted text
set transparency to <50% so it wasnt such a harsh white
Flattened image and saved as a .png with 0 compression
Can you even tell? probably not but oh well.
