Ok update on the beast.
Here is the car i'm talking about for those that don't know:

Ok so the lad has really pushed on with the engine conversion. Had a few problems mainly the gearbox, as the mount bolts had literally sheared off at some point so was just resting on the cradle oops.
Luckily the car is getting done at Just Affords so there was a nice rs turbo box sat there that just needed a steam clean and bolting up.
His plan was to get the engine/box bolted in yesterday so today he could get on with all the ancillary's.
He sourced all the 2.0 parts req'd as in maf/tb/injectors etc from a mondeo they had in for breaking. And got an inlet of an 1800 zetec engine from the yard.
That will then give me a couple of days to get all the lillte bits touched up b4 sunday.
The lad who's doing it is dedicated to the core, even after steam cleaning the new box as i was walking back to my car he was drying and spray painting the parts of the box you can see when its in the car, what a top bloke.
So will probably pop over later today to see how its getting on.
