well after much thinking about it, and trust me i mulled it over enough times, i bit the bullet and got shot of the st170 and went oldschool again !!! some of you may have seen it on the other thread but hopefully more will see it on this one. little break down of spec.
1985 escort xr3i
last year the arches, alot of the floor, battery tray and inner sills were cut and welded and sprayed etc
RS1600i type stickers/decals (thinking about removing them apart from the one on the boot)
RS1600i front splitter and fogs
RS1600i spoiler
RS1800 engine(manifold, zorst + airfilter too init )
lowered about 50mm
S1 rst seats and steering wheel
few other bits that ive forgotten.
I literally took delivery of it about 20mins ago and as a lot of you will know its PISSING with rain so no pics of it in my drive but there will be tomorrow hopefully (apparently going to be nice tomorrow). i drove it up and down my road once just to have a feel as i have no insurance until tomorrow and its awesome. there is nothing like being sat in a noisy, bumpy old school ford with your bum held nicely in a recaro with the added bonus of a decent amount of poke from a tickle of the right foot. i am quite honestly nursing a semi !!! all i will say is it is by no means mint and i wont pretend it is but its not a rot box. my aim is not to make it mint either but just make it into MY car and how I want it hope you like it guys and girls

few pics taken at 8:45 this morning after they were taken i decided to do a few little things. went over it with a chamois to get the due/condensation off it, replaced the gash gearknob for the one from my RS, slight cover up of some R word patches and heat wrap the zorst as it rattled on the rear panel and it was the quickest solution. not to everyones taste but i dont give a f....





and after my little adjustments (no nasty comments about my patchwork skillz




and one just to show the work thats been done and how clean the quarters are. i am the 6th owner of the car and its got 50k proven mileage. engine is different of course


Scamp will vouch for how well the car pulls and how obscene yet awesome the exhaust is
