Well as a lot of you know I had my Scooby for sale. Well she has now gone and as part ex I took this MK2 pop+ It has full XR2 running gear and is partly stripped out. ![]() ![]() Its fairly solid so will be fully stripped out and used as a track day car. (unsure on engine atm) I'll start a new thread for this car when the one below is finished! ....also I picked up this shell yesterday.... ![]() Tucked up in her new home ![]() Plans are to build a road going weekend toy/going to shows car, using (a lot) of bought bits and some of the parts not needed from the track car. Progress will be slow but I'm looking forward to getting stuck in as soon as everything gets back to normal after the festivities! Its nice to own a MK2 again, its been 10 long years without one! |

Makings for my single wiper conversion c/w integrated washer jet ![]() ![]() I need to machine a groove in the new spindle to take the circlip, braise on the little cog and weld the ball from the old spindle to the new allowing me to use the original linkage. Small mod to the motor arm will be required. |
