Right then, now the secret is out its time I started a thread on the new purchase! My original plan was to create a sleeper out of the 1.1 runabout which has been in the family for a number of years now, but with time constraints and the cost of fuel to travel all the way to the garage in wales every weekend to do the conversion meant that doing this project became more and more difficult, and no longer seemed to make sense I costed it all up (including insurance), and worked out that I could use the savings that I have been building up for a number of years now, and push the boat out and get a mk1 FRS. This would be the best of all worlds then, as it is a practical and useable RS, fast, more refined, more modern (and therefore less rusty!!), basically a perfect all rounder, also wearing the RS badge After alot of searching over a good few weeks, I finally came across this gem. Two previous owners before me, the first being a bank manager for three years, then the guy I bought it off, who has had it for seven years and basically used it as a sunny day “toy”, with it being kept in a carpeted and heated garage for the rest of the time. One year he only did a couple of thousand miles in it! It is completely standard and unmolested, with original dealer plates and sticker to finish it off! Got full ford service history, all receipts, all work has been done at ford, every single tax disc and MOT etc, and is low milage too (just ticked over 46k on my way back from ford fair) To top things off, as it is completely standard, insurance is £900 cheaper than it would be to insure the si!! Anyway, enough rambling, here are some pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Let me know what you think ![]() |

Needs a different exhaust! Love it though front ends on these look mean. Rear ends let them down. Said to Danny there was something strange about yours. Went and looked at an rs nearby and worked out it was lacking a big outwardly rolled exhaust! lol So jealous :-( |
