The fiesta is now up for sale as it's today been replaced with....

Yes I know it's an mg and yes I know the head gaskets are as good as a chocolate tea pot but I love the look of it and it shifts well for the money, leather interior, all electrics, and 160 ponies under my toe for very little money..

Few more pics..

Can't deny it, they are very good cars for the money! Not a huge fan of the rear lights, but aside from that personal opinion it looks very clean and tidy :)

What do they tend to do with these then on the Mg forums, are there a set number of 'Must Do' mods?

Couldn't agree more ry, lights are very mcdonalds carpark and will be changed as soon as I get some standards to replace them with, as for set mods I'm actually not too sure yet, it appears to be changing exhausts and remaps as basics as there's not that much that can be done without major money going into it!!

I remember these always popping up on posts in the GTi-6 forums, with people left, right and centre saying how they "destroy these cars" in the straights and especially in the "twisties".. However, slowly but surely a few people moved over to these ZR 160's and actually found that they were roughly around the same capabilities as a GTi-6, if not a little bit quicker  Never been in one myself, but I've only heard good things aside from the cooling issues.

I'm sure I read somewhere it was partly due to the thermostat location causing HG issues which can be fixed quite easily. Had to do a bit of "just in case" research when the guy I work with bought a bloody low spec MG TF when we told him to get an MX-5 instead for less money!

Are these 1.4 or is that the 90bhp spec?

I've been in one, driven slowly, no idea about performance but it looks nice.

Isn't it a given that the k-series will chuck its gasket no matter what you do? Something stupid like four bolts h
oping the head on the block.

Plans?

Black is a good colour only second to the blue they come in. Much better than the chavvy yellow you see.

Nice car mate, I drove the 1.4 105 and that was great for what it was, revved nicely for a small engine so I can only imagine that these are even better. Handling wasnt to bad either, suspension felt firm but easy on the bumps if you know what I mean.

My mum had a 1.6 rover 45 which suffered the head gasket going but garage repaired and said once you get them sorted they are fine and last.
