well it just came to me that after having my car for over 6 months that i hadnt made a thread for it. so as i am bored, and partly asleep i will look at this later and wonder why it makes no sense. anyways i used to have a k reg 1.3 that there was a few pictures of knocking around on here somwhere but as i got a new job and the moonduster was rusty i decided to buy an si. so after finishing work one saterday afternoon i got on the train and went down to south wales to pick her up. after a quick look around the car she was bought and i was driving home on a 150 mile shakedown run ![]() being a trusty old fiesta she did her best to make the trip interesting half way home it decided that it only wanted to indicate right. oh and the temp guage didnt work. anyways here is a few pics of the car that other people have taken at meets and such. ![]() this as she stood when i bought her. ![]() took her to my first ever sixfields ![]() ![]() these two are from the last northern meet before it went snowy, yes i am bored in the second pic becuase me ash and dave we waiting for missing people |

well things i need to do are : sort out idling problem, fix n/s front spotlight, de-rust rear arches and fit my rst arches also i wish it was just a scuff, the laquer has come away in a few places is there a way you can just rub down the laquer and then re do it or do you have to completely respray? oh and it now has a set of 15" 7 spokes on. softlines i think they are called |

yep its jasons old car. he came and picked me up from the station and everything, proper sound guy. dave it is kicking out the right power (ish) it holds onto the revs a little sometimes as if its on choke. and it pulls its self up hills in 1st without any throttle. still does this when i disconnect the maf so i may have a quick look and clean the hot wires. even if it doesnt cure it it cant damage them if i am carfull and its free. |

thanks david, i think the last time i saw you at a northern meet i had my old silver one, we piled the xr2 bumpers in the back of it and three people lol. yeah mole, as soon as the weather is nice i am going to give the arches a bit of a birthday, re paint them and then hide the halfords colour match behind the rs arches lol |

oh yeah if you remember when i had to drive to a northern meet with no indicators? well i took the mk 3.5 stalks to bits and cleaned up the contacts and it worked again for about 3 months but we have a mk 3.5 at work which we have taken in p/x and is just bing scrapped so i am having the stalks off it. also how do i sort out the laqour as a temp fix before it gets resprayed? can you just rub down the laquer and then re do it? or what? and when i turn on the ignition the temp guage lifts a little from the stop but it doesnt show any temp. is the sender for it on the radiator on the drivers side at the bottom? |
