alright lads i finally got my finger out 2 weeks ago and started getting ready for the engine change, i got the engine out of a 96 clx escort with 96,000 on the clock, its a 1.6 and its sweet as a nut, really well looked after, trying to work in the snow isnt the easiest but hey ho i got her out ![]() ![]() first i had to find the car ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() then the stripping and cleaning began, nothing major, just to tidy it up ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() me and jason (spunkymonkey) cleaned up the block with a wire brush them went over it with degreaser a toothbrush and diesel, then i pained the coil bracket and a few other bits ![]() i then brought the cam cover into work and got her dipped and blasted, i then polished the lettering with a dynablade, really happy how it came out ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() just a few more bits to do and shes ready to go in, comments are very welcome as always ![]() |
