hello boys and girls. once upon a time i owned an si...well i still do...it gets bounced from place to place on a car transporter. its gone from being a 1.6 zetec..the original intention was a rev monster zetec build...2.1, 48s rally cams, hi comp steel bottom end straight cut box...you name it... all was going well till i got bored with my daily. then i got something with 4 wheel drive and a turbo..now this set me thinking a bit differently. ive a shell..a pretty rot free and caged shell at that. needing a few outer panels to straighten it out totally. i have access to a mig..im not afraid of the grinder..

the plan is for a massive rework to shoe horn YB (cossie) 4wd running gear in there. i know its alot of work...there is logic in it. hence why my N/A bits are for sale... i will be doing some of the work. a company i have already selected and negotiated with will be doing the bits im not totally confident with.

some idea of what the finished car will look like from the outside.

compomotive TH2's 7x16 ET35 for GrpA/ Grp4 fitment the studs are alot chunkier and stronger than road items..a bit overkill if im honest ...that cage was an utter bitch to fit lol

i still think it should be pink, yellow or orange.. lol

yeah we were using the cunto as a runaround that weekend..as my bus does a gallon on a round trip to the cave from pauls.

the budget kinda went out the window when i bought the panels... all genuine ones the conversion to make a really nice job of it is about 300 man hours. im not doing all of that...if you did 50 a week on it..thats 6 weeks solid work on the floorpan!! depending on what your being charged if you just paid to have it done wont come to any less than 6 grand. Thats not the panels and paint..thats modding the floor pan, rear suspension, bulkhead, making a tunnel, front engine mount/ x member and reinforcing one or two areas. and generally getting things as proper as they should be. then i need to find an engine and box...4 custom drive shafts custom rear prop...exhaust...fuel tank..various shizzle. if it costs less than 10 grand. ill be happy. as for power...under 400 is about as much as im saying. im resisting temptation to build a touring car spec lump for it (T4/8 injectors/low comp/cams etc) depends whats available when i start looking. 330 would make something like a fiesta a right handfull. so thats about what ill go for.

there are one or two headache areas..steering rack being one. but im pretty sure i can overcome the rest of it.

It sounds really good, are you going for a magazine feature if it all goes to plan, this reminds me of the red mk3 fiesta i saw in pf.

Thats awesome! Thats loads of power and a lot of money! Will be sooo good when it's done, Well jealous Would love to have the space to build up a project. Probably gonna have a few problems along the way but it'll be well worth it in the end.
