well here it is, managed to get a loan from a family member and picked it up today (wednesday) ![]() this is a very good spec Si if i say so myself, it has everything excluding electric mirors ![]() general plans for now are to just maintain it, bring it back upto its rightful condition, sort the rust down the drivers side, replace the snapped rear arb bracket, lower it by 30-40mm and something its gonna need soon is new brake discs, so instead ill get some 260mm brakes of a Zetec S for it, the discs have little meat left new wipers all round as theyre shocking, heat soak protect the K&N banana intake pipe, as it gets boiling under there fit my cd player and sub once i buy a new amp wiring kit as mines broke the remote lead (or i could just replace that with some normal wire ![]() colour code the mirrors, and handles, and replace its missing roof rack strips ![]() here she is, in Petrol blue ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() has a file full of documents, including past mot's, reciets and servicing ![]() full ford service history upto 07/89k ![]() ![]() 1995 3 door, in caymen blue, 1.6, K&N 57i induction kit, standard stainless exhaust, dual airbags, front heated screen, electric windows, central locking, power steering, anti lock brakes, boot release, rear standard speakers, CD player ---- done my first 'mod' to it today ![]() ![]() ![]() they were genuinly fucked lol, these are on offer in tesco, half price so £1.50 each, and aero blades for who ever wants to know are £3.00each! bargain :Q but i want to keep this looking standard so no aero's for me |

well when i went to view the car ihad a hunch that i was right on, as most Si's have, a broken anti roll bar, i decided to steal one of the brackets off the mk4 for the Si the culprate ![]() fitted, i was gonna put the poly bushes on too, but i couldnt fidn the time today to remove the whole anit roll bar off the mk4, takes a bit more effort then an Si ![]() then i set about fitting the newly painted rocker cover started by cleaning up the locating lugs, as rust on new black paint looks poo :bonkers: ![]() ![]() the gasket looked recently changed so i went on with it, evidance of its constant servicing by ford :Q ![]() ![]() i gave the most of the bay a good clean with wirewool, including the pas crossover pipe and inlet and exhaust heatshield i was gonna do the strut tops a clean too but i have my eyes on some chrome ones (and thats all the chrome ill have under here!, maybe a oil filler too ![]() ![]() bit of solvent and the filler cap is clean :Q ![]() embossed :aviator: ![]() the brake servo is now letting the bay down, so it will need a respray soon, but i dont fancy taking it out just for that ![]() then the next few hours was taken by fitting my Sub, rewiring the snapped co-axle connectors and the snapped remote lead, ended up replacing the remote with ordinary wire, im now enjoying bass as it should be, im happy with the sounds atm, wouldnt mind some 10cm rear uprated speakers to replace the tired factory ones, but id need adapters too, still need adapters for the fronts too ![]() |

minor update, considering im skint ![]() pic of the Sub ![]() ![]() been saying i was going to do it, so here it is, the spoiler got a nice touch up today masked it up, wasnt painted outside though it was too windy ![]() and done, in Satin ![]() ![]() i also done my airel pod and mast ![]() ![]() sutble things all add up to a neat and tidy car :Q ![]() lowering springs will be payed for on Friday and hopefully new brakes soon as the standards are simply shocking! --- my strut top covers arrived today, so got them on the car look much better imo, and its happend! ive got the chrome BUG! fuck! ![]() lucky for me though i still hate over the top chrome engine bay's, so gonna keep it to a 'entry level' spec ![]() going to try for the bonnet stay, oil, coolant and washer bottle caps and ill be happy and everything will contrast well together, black and chrome ![]() anyway piccies ![]() ![]() fitted, not bad for 99p on ebay! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ive also bought some LED bulbs on ebay specials to tart up the lighting a bit more, 501 white led bulbs and 24 led red stop/tails for the back ![]() Slamming it next! ![]() |
