Hi guys and girls - sorry i haven't been on for so long!
Well as promised in the previous thread with all the damage/problems in here -
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=14241 i eventually got hold of the insurers and they agreed to me having Xquisite Automotive carry out the re-repair work
I picked the car up from Xquisite at the end of July freshly painted and all looking lovely. On our way down to pick it up K noticed 3 little chips so touched them in and re clear-coated the door. Said chips:

The clear-coat used we found out was a dodgy batch and reacted strangely leaving the door an odd colour (this happened to 2 cars in the shop at the same time) After the paint company came down, had run their tests and seen that it was there fault the door was sanded, re-coloured and clear-coated. All is well

I'll now stick up the pics of the work which was carried out leaving out the above hiccup. As most of you know on the 28th January i was hit up the rear and it left the car needing a rear end rebuild. After the first, insurance approved (i knew no better at the time) bodyshop had had 2 months and 2 attempts to fix the car, slagged off the rest of it and basically made a complete hash of it the decision was taken to get K and the boys at Xquisite involved.
After contacting K we traveled down to Croydon where they inspected the vehicle and were appalled at the level of work. A report and quote was sent to my insurance company who gave approval for the work to be undertaken after we'd had numerous telephone converstaions with them. I ordered the rear apron (which i still haven't been reimbursed for) and the car was dropped off at the end of May with all the bits and pieces i'd acquired to be fitted.
I'd also had a qoute for some extras to be done and in the end the list of work was:
*To remove and re-fit all rear body panels
*Fit the Wolf rear apron
*Re-spray the WHOLE car including the underside of the bonnet (the insurance was paying for the rear end)
*Flush bumpstrips
*Re-furb all 4 alloys
*Fit Focus ST225 mirror indicators and flushing the wings
*Satin black all grills with silver detailing
*De-tango and colour-code headlights with the silver rings to match wheels
*Fit FRS Brembo 4-pots on the front and FRS rears including the hubs (20mm wider overall) with braided hoses
All the parts:

As the work started:

Brakes:

In for paint

After the mare with the brake hoses for the front (wasn't just a case of simply Fiesta ST150 hoses, possibly with banjo's or FRS hoses) we finally got them on after trying every solution by making our own set of hoses up. The ST150 ones work for the FRS rears

By the time everything was sorted and the car was finished it was the end of July, days before Ford Fair. The car finished as i picked it up:

By the time the aforementioned door issue was sorted it was nearly TRAX, it was time for a major clean up the day before and to give the interior a complete detail - it was surprising how much dust had accumalated after it's 4-5 months spent in bodyshops...
All ready for TRAX:

The interor minter than new...

I'd missed the dealine for UKFN TRAX tickets so was on the FOC stand where some of you may have seen the car looking like so

That's pretty much as the car stands at the moment entering the winter. There a few minor details/niggly bits to sort over the winter (i'm parts gathering already) and the car is booked in for a few more things at Xquisite in the february
Unfortunately i recieved an email the other day forwarded to me by McLaren stating that Wolf aren't making any more parts for the forseeable future due to the economic downturn so i'm in the market for a new exhaust, suggestions please?
Where the first bodyshop had straightened it they'd broken something inside, i'm losing 6mpg round town and 12mpg on long runs at the moment
I now have the audio control stalk fitted and ABS sensors waiting to be fitted (£140+VAT each

)
Sorry for such a long post but i'm glad everything's tied up now and as i become more free over the winter i should be active on here a bit more. Thanks for bearing with me and reading this awfully long post, roll on show season 2010
