Hi Guys, the credit crunch is starting to bite and I’m considering abandoning my Mk3.5 track car project to free up funds. Basically I have so far:

N Reg Mk3.5 1100cc 3dr, (engine removed, interior stripped, front suspension removed but don’t have any front struts, rear suspension standard) I also have the registration doc. The shell is in excellent condition, the sills and arches are mint but there is a crease in the off side front wing. Off side front wheel arch and engine bay painted in white Hammerite.




Mondeo V6 calipers (not machined to fit Fiesta yet)
SI 1.6 Zetec engine, complete with gearbox. Engine is complete and ready to be dropped in (I recommend changing the cambelt). Comes with ECU, loom inc keys and all the other bits needed.
SI exhaust system (minus down pipe).
SI fuel tank and fuel pump.

15” Ford alloys, 2 good, 2 low tread tyres

I also have 2 Cobra Monaco bucket seats (blue) complete with Mk3.5 sub frames, 1 has a tear on the right side but other than that they are in excellent condition. I’m not sure if to sell these though as my mate might have the seats for his Saxo but once again make me an offer if you’re interested.

Like I say I’m still not sure whether to keep it and carry it on when funds allow. But if you are interested and feel like making me an offer then please PM and it may sway my decision.

I suppose the time of year is not great i.e. crap weather and the fact I don't have a garage to work in has dampened my desire to crack on with it.

It's just the fact the family car needs a new cat, 4 tyres and a good service and it's timing around Christmas is not great.

Dont give up mate, its not costing you anything to have it sat around until times improve and you can carry on with it then.

Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

If you going to the hassle of fitting a zetec, then go 1.8 or 2.0ltr instead of wasting your time with a 1.6 IMO

But other than that.. good
